With graduation on the horizon, we’re taking a moment to honor the incredible accomplishments of East Windsor High School’s graduating class. This is the second installment of a three-part series, where we’ll introduce you to nine exceptional seniors, offering a look at their dedicated high school years and the exciting plans they’ve made for the future.
Greaneleigh Wilczak: A Passion for History and Reviving the School Newspaper

Greaneleigh Wilczak has been a vibrant force at East Windsor High School, demonstrating her diverse interests and leadership skills. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the Newspaper Club, showcasing her passion for writing and communication. Beyond the newsroom, Greaneleigh was involved in indoor track, cross country, and held leadership roles as President of Student Government and Recording Secretary for NHS. Her artistic side shone through her participation in the Art Club, Jazz Band, and Drama Club stage crew, while her community spirit was evident in the Leo Club and Safe School Leaders.
Next year, Greaneleigh is heading to Salve Regina University to pursue her academic passions, majoring in Art History and European History. When reflecting on her favorite teachers, she highlighted Mr. Ward (AP U.S. History) and Ms. McClelland (Art). She noted that both teachers consistently pushed her to pursue her favorite subjects.
Greaneleigh’s advice for incoming ninth graders is to prioritize positive relationships: “Find a good group of friends who actually help you achieve your goals and support you, not compete with you. Focus on yourself and your future.” For Greaneleigh, the tight-knit community of EWHS, stemming from its small size, made it a special place. Her proudest accomplishment? Starting up the school newspaper after two decades of inactivity.
Aniya Gonzalez: Juggling Academics, Activities, and Cherished Friendships

Aniya Gonzalez is another outstanding senior who has excelled in multiple areas at East Windsor High School. She was an active member of the National Honor Society, Safe School Leaders, Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field, and the Yearbook Club.
Aniya’s next chapter will take her to Pennsylvania State University, where she plans to major in Psychology. Her favorite teacher, Mrs. Kotula, holds a special place for Aniya. “She is special to me because she believes in the work I do and pushes me to work harder when I am in doubt,” Aniya shared. “She has never made me feel as though there was something I couldn’t do.”
For future ninth graders, Aniya offers a thoughtful piece of advice: “School goes over everything. Education lasts a lifetime. Don’t trip yourself over people who are not worth it. In the end, the right people will come to you.” What makes EWHS special to Aniya are the friends she made, who she now considers “sisters.” She is “forever grateful for getting closer with them during these years.” Aniya is most proud of her ability to successfully juggle out-of-school activities, home life, and honors/AP classes while maintaining a high GPA.
Evan Witzke: A Legacy of Athletics and a Special Connection to EWHS

Evan Witzke has been a prominent figure in East Windsor High School athletics, showcasing his leadership and talent across multiple sports. He served as captain for both the varsity soccer and varsity baseball teams, and was also a key player on the varsity basketball team. Beyond sports, Evan was involved in Student Government as Corresponding Secretary, NHS, and Safe School Leaders.
Next year, Evan will continue his education at the University of Connecticut, studying Exercise Science. His favorite teacher, Mr. Masters, taught government and economics and was also the student government advisor. Evan appreciated how Mr. Masters “always made class enjoyable and fun while also teaching,” and made Student Government “a very easy and enjoyable club to be a part of.”
Evan’s advice to incoming freshmen is to make the most of their time: “Do as many clubs and extracurriculars as you can and always enjoy everything school related; it will go by in the blink of an eye.” EWHS holds a deeply personal significance for Evan. It’s special to him “because it is where I grew up seeing my siblings walk across the stage at graduation and now it is my turn.” Among his proudest high school accomplishments, Evan fondly remembers his baseball team winning the Crawl championship in 2023, with him scoring the winning run.
