Last week, students in East Windsor High School’s Business Concepts 1 class received a valuable visit from Robin Myers of Windsor Federal. On May 20th, Ms. Myers shared her expertise on the essentials of opening a small business, offering students an insightful look into the world of entrepreneurship.

Ms. Myers focused her discussion on the crucial elements of a business plan, particularly what banks scrutinize when considering financial options for small businesses. She also outlined the vital information aspiring business owners need to have prepared before presenting their plans to a bank. Our students will now take this knowledge and apply it directly to their own business plans, gaining practical experience that extends beyond the classroom.

This inspiring experience is just one of the many ways East Windsor High School’s Career Pathways program is committed to providing students with diverse opportunities to explore post-secondary career options. These invaluable real-world connections and explorations directly align with our district’s Portrait of a Graduate – our district’s promise to parents and our commitment to our community that every one of our students will be ready for college, career, and life. It represents our district-wide initiative to help every student achieve success by becoming informed life-long learners, self-aware individuals, and responsible citizens.

We are incredibly grateful to Robin Myers for sharing her time and expertise with our students. Experiences like these are invaluable in helping our students connect their classroom learning to real-world applications and consider their future pathways.

We also want to extend a huge thank you to the entire East Windsor community for your continued support of our students and their futures. Your commitment helps us provide these enriching opportunities that are vital for their growth and success.
